Electric traction connectors for crosses are fastened in track ports for traction current transmission in rail return.

The connector is a component of an electric traction network at the double-current traction sections.

Connectors provide:

traction current sustained passing
sustained delivery of electric energy to the rolling stocks
automatic Locomotive Signaling System (ALS) and signaling, centralization and blocking equipment signal track circuit functional operation
fault protection and traction current drain prevention
