The device for controlling the force of switch gears is designed to perform direct mechanical measurement of the force transmitted from the switch electric gear with DC or AC motors to the moving elements of railroad switches, with the presentation of the measurement results obtained on the display of the device in the dimensions specified in the international system of SI units for this type of measurement .
The device consists of:
- a unit with strain gauges installed between the switch rail and the point rail

The device registers the results of measurements in the storage unit of the device by the recording command set by the operator, with the simultaneous presentation of the measurement information in digital form on the display in units of the corresponding physical quantities acting on the strain gauges, namely in kilonewtons.
The device is self-contained, powered by a built-in battery. The battery is charged through the device's USB port from a computer or from a 220 V AC mains using the included adapter.
The measurement data can be transferred to a computer, on which the supplied software shall be installed. The measurement results are displayed on the computer monitor in digital and graphical form in physical quantities. The device connects directly to a computer's USB port using a USB cable.
