Railway Color Filters and Lenses
To prevent emergencies and ensure safety on the railway, it is crucial to select the correct lenses, filters, and diffusers for railway signals. Regardless of weather conditions, light sources, or time of day, color filters must be easily distinguishable from one another.
According to the Russian Railways Operation Rules (PTE), the use of lenses and filters in railway signals that do not comply with the colors of the established standard is strictly prohibited.
In the railway industry, color filters and lenses are used not only in railway signals but also in train headlights, equipment and control panels of locomotives and electric trains, as well as in signaling devices installed directly in carriages.
